A weak stream, getting up two or three times a night, or the sense that you never quite empty — these are the classic symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, and they are very treatable. We start with an objective symptom score, rule out the causes that matter, and then match the treatment to how much the symptoms are actually bothering you. Urologic cancer is a core focus of this practice. If something abnormal turns up on a PSA, a scan or a urine test, we move quickly: diagnosis, staging, and a clear explanation of what the finding means and what it does not. Many urologic cancers are highly curable when caught early, and some — low-risk prostate cancer in particular — are best served by active surveillance rather than immediate treatment. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in.

Urgency, leakage and waking through the night are common — but common is not the same as normal, and they are not something to simply live with. Most patients improve substantially once we identify which mechanism is driving the problem, which is what urodynamic testing and a voiding diary are for.
